We are looking to add a Senior Project Engineer to our growing teamAs a Senior Project Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a CERCLA project that is critical to the security and safety of the nationJob
Responsibilities:
o Design authority functionso Coordination and integration of engineering/design across the Jacobs team including multiple subcontractorso Material Process Flowo Material Processing Buildingo Criticality Accident Alarm Systemo Nuclear and Criticality Safetyo Material Handling/Process Flowo Site Improvements including SNM Vault, roads, and utilitieso Process Wastewater Treatment Systemo NDA Equipmento Primary interface with the client Technical Teamo Integration of client expectations/requirements through technical collaboration meetings and impromptu meetings as neededo Facilitating client reviews of technical deliverables in accordance with the contract and project schedule Jacobs Nuclear Project and Consulting is a Tier 1 service provider to the U.

o Bachelors in Engineering or highero 15 years or more of experienceo Professional Engineer licenseo Q Clearance or the ability to obtain oneo Environmental cleanup experienceo Construction project experienceo Must have strong client facing communication skillso Must have leadership experienceo Must be a U.
SCitizen Preferred
Experience:
o USACE Projectso Radiological Remediationo Understanding of Nuclear Safety principles and controlso Understanding of requirements for handling and control of Special Nuclear Materialso Prefer someone already residing in the Vandergrift, PA areao CERCLA/Superfund or RCRA project experience
Essential Functions:
o Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and liftingo Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbsin the form of supplies, drawings, etcLongest distance carried of 50 feeto Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulationRight and/or left hands utilizedo Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, for supplies, as well as below the shoulder for sameo Occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity Attendance:
Specific DoD Security training using the STEPP online systems is mandatory before performing project duties.
o Timely response to resolve issues is expected.
o Overtime work must be pre-approved and authorized.
o Travel required - As neededo If and when needed and as directed by the Jacobs SLDA Team Project Manager, must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Level Clearance (similar to obtaining a DOE L Clearance) for work on the Shallow Land Disposal Areas (SLDA) Project Team under the day-to-day direction of the Jacobs Team nuclear safety program managerOTHER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS U.
SCitizenship requiredValid driver's license is requiredMust be able to work in a team atmosphere.
o Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.
o Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
